Amazing Music Events.....




 Jammed to some amazing  music last night at Mo Betta Soul Sunday @ Speakeasy. There is something about great music that just makes any night a success! This week there are two events to keep the music flowing Drip Hip Hop and the Freshniz- a live magazine event. Looking forward to hearing some original music, and meeting some talented artists. Check check out the events for the week!

3rd Woman's Scream, part of a month-long International Poetry Festival is coming during Women's History Month.

HeTePu Productions has teamed up Al Black of Mind Gravy Poetry & Tzima of Sun Spirit Yoga and Wellness to present the Columbia, SC portion of this annual International Poetry & Arts Festival. Woman's Scream is coordinated by Jael Uribe of the Domincan Republic based group, Women Poets International (Mujeres Poetas Internacional) and asks us to "pause for a cause" in honor of women and denouncing violence. So please join us for this very special day of celebrating Life through Art. ONLY FAMILY FRIENDLY LANGUAGE, THANKS!

One Month - April 2013 - is when arts and history come to life!

There's no denying that April is all about the arts - and history and culture and more! With dozens and dozens of events, One Month is a celebration of Columbia's bustling cultural community.

Meet us on Main Street during First Thursdays for the official kickoff of One Month. Caroline Lewis Jones of Unbound Dance Company has pulled together nearly every dance company in the area to kick things off.

There will be 4 solid hours of dance performances on a stage at Boyd Plaza and also at Tapp's Art Center.

Bring your friends and stroll up and down the street. Merchants will be open throughout the night with different art shows and music and more!

Don't forget to stop by the new One Columbia office located at 1219 Taylor Street and see Columbia's new cultural one-stop-shop.

Volunteer


Volunteers needed for HC Farmer's Market!

Students, faculty, staff and community members can volunteer to help coordinate the Healthy Carolina Farmers Market held every Tuesday from March 19th through April 23rd on Greene Street outside the Russell House. The Market has several volunteer shifts that run from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. each Tuesday. It's a A great opportunity to give back to your USC community and build your resume!
